MVC x VNG: ORGANIZE THE 1ST ANNIVERSARY EVENT – GHOST STORY: THIEN NU

On August 24, 2025, MVC proudly partnered with VNG to organize the Offline 1st Anniversary Celebration – Ghost Story: Thien Nu with the theme “One Year Together, Time to Get Married” at The Adora Center, Ho Chi Minh City. This milestone marks a year of growth and strong community engagement for one of Vietnam’s most popular role-playing games.

EVENT OBJECTIVES

Ghost Story: Thien Nu is one of the few games that emphasizes human connection. Beyond role-playing, players can pair up, get married, and build clans. After a year of development, VNG aimed to create a large-scale community event to:

  • Provide an immersive offline playground to appreciate current players.

  • Re-engage former players who had left the game.

  • Strengthen brand awareness on the 1-year milestone.

  • Expand user acquisition through livestreams and multi-channel communication.

  • Announce upcoming development plans for the game.

EVENT JOURNEY

To deliver the right experience, MVC analyzed player behavior and their core motivations. The event space was fully designed to recreate the world of Ghost Story: Thien Nu in real life – from POSM and welcome gates to interactive booths and traditional costume performances – ensuring a consistent and emotional atmosphere throughout.

The guest journey was designed as a seamless flow:

  • At the lobby: check-in, mini-games, interactive booths, instant photo printing, token-to-gift exchange, claw machines, and limited-edition prizes.

  • Inside the hall: a one-year recap video, stage performances, speeches and guest interactions, VIP recognition, PK battles, Kahoot games, and lucky draws.

At the same time, MVC built engagement mechanisms through direct interactions and user-generated content (UGC), amplifying the event’s reach during and after the program.

OUR SCOPE OF WORK

As the execution partner, MVC managed the event end-to-end, from concept to operations:

  • Designing a seamless and consistent guest journey.

  • Producing POSM and arranging event spaces with interactive zones.

  • Onsite organization and flow management.

  • Stage content management, creating emotional highlights, and boosting audience engagement.

HIGHLIGHT RESULTS

  • 1,500 players attended the event onsite in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • 183,000 livestream views, nearly 3,000 real-time interactions, and around 20,000 greetings submitted via the online event page.

Ghost Story: Thien Nu is recognized as one of the few games focusing strongly on human connection – from pairing and marriage to clan building. MVC is proud to have collaborated with VNG to create a space where players could not only live in the virtual Three Realms, but also form authentic bonds in real life.
